Marco Rossi's 3-point night propels Canucks past Panthers

Brock Boeser had three assists, Elias Pettersson scored twice, and Kevin Lankinen made 21 saves for the Canucks, who have won two of three.
Matthew Tkachuk had a goal and an assist, Sam Bennett also scored, Carter Verhaeghe had two assists, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 17 saves for the Panthers, who have lost two in a row.
Boeser had the puck below the left circle on the first power play of the game when he passed it out high to Rossi, who took a couple strides toward the middle of the ice before feeding Pettersson for the one-timer from the right circle and a 1-0 lead at 3:49.
Pettersson had not scored in the previous 20 games.
Tkachuk tied it 1-1 at 11:41 of the first period.
Canucks defenseman Elias N. Pettersson was trying to clear the puck out of the corner of his zone when his pass deflected off Verhaeghe and went to Tkachuk alone in front of the right hash marks and he scored on Lankinen.
Elias Pettersson scored on another power play to move the Canucks back in front 2-1 at 13:40. He took a wrist shot from the right circle that nicked off Florida defensemen Aaron Ekblad and Gustav Forsling and bounced across the goal line for the 200th goal of his NHL career.
Rossi scored for the third straight game to make it 3-1 at 17:46 of the first.
Boeser won a battle for the puck along the boards in the Florida zone and fed Rossi alone in front of the Panthers crease for the third goal of the period.
Tkachuk retrieved a rebound and passed it back to Bennett at the left hash mark for a one-timer, cutting it to 3-2 at 11:28 of the second.
Aatu Raty took advantage of a failed clearing pass by Florida to re-establish a two-goal lead at 4-2 at 14:27 of the second.
Drew O'Connor received a pass in front of the net from Linus Karlsson and scored to make it 5-2 at 14:25 of the third.
